SUNY Downstate Medical Center: Involved the emergency excavation and
replacement of underground 10" steam and 6" condensate return
lines below
Lenox Road and East 34th street in Brooklyn, New York. The owner is
State
University of New York. The scope of work included trench excavation
and
sheeting. The demolition, removal and replacement of the existing 10" steel
steam line, 6" steel condensate line, concrete utility tunnel,
concrete manholes, expansion joints, valves, fittings, pipe rollers
and supports. The
restoration of asphalt roads and concrete sidewalks. The work also
included
the connections to existing 10" steam and 6" condensate facilities
within
the administration building and the student center building.
